Cleaning up is a Group Effort

Keeping our environment clean takes the cooperation of everyone in the community. You can help make a difference with RTD's Adopt-A-Stop program.

With almost 10,000 bus stops in the metro area, keeping up with trash and vandalism is a huge job. But when civic-minded individuals, groups, and organizations volunteer to help RTD maintain litter-free bus stops, the region becomes a better place to live and work for all of us.

Do Your Part

Show your civic pride and help clean up our community by adopting a stop today. Adopt-A-Stop is simple: Adopters agree to pick up litter around the designated bus stop(s) and dispose of trash for a one-year period, though adopters can participate in the program for more than one year. It is fast, simple and the perfect opportunity for schools, neighborhoods, scout groups, clubs, or individuals to get more involved in their communities. You can even multiply the results of your work by adopting more than one stop.

RTD provides the trash receptacles and can liners. We will also provide adoption signs so that your group receives proper recognition for your efforts.
